Location Description
Michael Foods, Inc. located in Yuma, Arizona nestled between Phoenix and San Diego. Yuma features extraordinary outdoor activities from tubing on the Colorado River to off-roading at the Buttercup Sand Dunes. Our location produces hard boiled eggs for a vast number of both retail and food service customers.
Responsibilities
A Multivac Primary Operator I at Michael Foods, is an entry-level role and is responsible for the
safe and efficient operation of Multivac packaging equipment in a food production environment.
A strong emphasis is placed on product quality, food safety, Sanitation and routine maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Operate and Maintain Multivac Equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and minor repair tasks, including changing and aligning
circular knives, cleaning vacuum systems, and replacing gaskets.
• Work with the maintenance department to identify and diagnose mechanical issues.
• Set up and change equipment for different products.
• Inspect product to ensure the highest quality product is being packaged
• Confirm and verify the accuracy of product is being packaged.
• Ensure proper sealing, cleanliness, and packaging of products
• Minimize product loss by maintaining a high attention to detail
• Understand and correctly document expiration dates and item numbers.
• Follow all PPE requirements, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality
or personnel safety.
• Assume personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
• Adhere to Quality work practices, follow all GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that
product quality is maintained.
• Report, to management, any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
• Always ensure regulatory compliance
• Maintain good personal hygiene
• Maintain a safe and healthy workplace by adhering to safety policies and following GMPs
• Report on all work-related injuries or unsafe conditions immediately
• Train and Mentor other operators
• Follow supervisor instructions and support cross-departmental cooperation
• Be available to work weekends, Holidays, and overtime as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

B - Moderate - Activity or condition exists between 20 - 60% of work time.
C - Major - Activity or condition exists 60% or more of work time.
