Position Description
Job Summary:
The entry-level Quality Control Technician will assure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing established manufacturing procedures (MPS), specifications, validating processes, and providing documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Inspects all received materials to ensure adherence to company quality standards.
  • Maintains cleanliness of all equipment in the testing area.
  • Adhere to quality assurance testing protocols and standards set by industry leaders.
  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing audits, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems.
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification.
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits, investigating customer complaints, and training methods.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, and corrective actions.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Prior experience in process improvement and analyzing information is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with supervisors, operators and customer support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
  • 2+ years related experience preferred.
  • On-the-job training offered.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to understand and execute actions based on verbal and visual instructions
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 50+ pounds
  • Must be able to bend and walk continuously throughout the shift
  • Tolerant of exposure to typical noises and smells associated with an industrial plant
  • Perform repetitive motions for the duration of the shift
  • Manual dexterity to operate a variety of machinery and equipment
  • Able to work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime shifts
