Essential Functions
- Performs entry-level professional administrative work, research, analysis, and project design in support of the City Manager's office.
- Performs customer service functions for the Administration Division.
- Interacts with personnel from each department to ensure effective interdepartmental communication and maximize operational effectiveness.
- Attends and participates in various organizational meetings and community events as directed.
- Responds to citizen inquiries/requests and resolves all issues within assigned scope of responsibility in a timely manner.
- Conducts surveys of other communities to research municipal practices and procedures.
- Promotes and maintains responsive community relations.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's Program in political science, communications, public administration or a closely related undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Valid driver's license.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and related applications.
- Knowledge of basic practices and principles of public relations.
- Knowledge of basic practices and principles of financial processes.
- Highly creative individual who has excelled in designing visuals to support communication campaigns.
