GENERAL LABORER (ENTRY LEVEL)

This is an entry level position coming into the plant. Performing a number of duties including shipping, bailing scrap, as well as handling material. Janitorial work is to be done both inside and out of the plant and warehouse areas, ensuring the warehouse is in good order.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma

  • Basic math skills

  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs at any given time

  • Ability to push and pull frequently

  • Ability to perform repetitive dexterity movements (stepping up and down)

  • Twisting, turning, and bending 80% of the time

General Laborer Duties:

  • Must be able to stack WIP (Work In Progress) & Finished Goods (FG) materials and keep pace with the running machinery

  • Must maintain overall cleanliness of every work area the stacker is assigned to

  • Must follow all instructions and directions, written or verbal, from all Machine Operators & Supervisors you are assigned to

  • Protect and uphold company brand, image, and confidentiality by adhering to company policies and procedures

  • Maintain excellent verbal communication

  • Self-motivated; able to complete tasks with little supervision

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure of company deadlines with repetitive interruptions

  • To exemplify the teamwork attitude and assist your co-workers and staff when needed in all departments and complete all duties or tasks assigned by management

  • Completes mandatory training and attends staff meetings

  • Additional duties may be assigned by supervisors or managers

  • Excellent accuracy of work

  • Summons supervision as needed
