AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our AECOM Transportation Department in our Greenville, SC office. Entry-level technical new hires are eligible to participate in AECOM's Graduate Development Program (GDP), a program designed to support assimilation into the organization, help with technical development planning toward licensure (or other early technical milestones), and with creating a foundation of knowledge necessary for future career success.

As an Entry-Level Civil Engineer, you will work with multi-discipline project teams in developing a range of engineering solutions from initial concepts to detailed design development and through construction. This is a diverse role that will involve your contributions and insight into the effective delivery of the department’s current and future portfolio of projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Creates sketches, preliminary and final drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Design of utilities, roadways, general site development, grading and drainage, erosion control, typical sections, profiles, cross sections
  • Preparation of drawings, specifications, basis of design, technical memos.
