Job description

Stock Handler I

The Stock Handler I is an entry level position. This position pulls, transfers in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, counts, organizes, and stores stock or parts in our warehouse departments. This position may operate various Power Industrial Truck (PIT) vehicles to route parts and finished goods, working directly with various manufacturing areas within the organization. Works mostly with a trainer to perform tasks.

Job Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Gathers parts/stock according to necessary department specific processes, pulling and routing them to designated manufacturing areas safely, while maintaining quality and on-time delivery.
  • Maintains organization and accuracy of work area by following established procedures for staging in-process work and supply items, stock rotation, allocation of storage space on shelves, inventory transaction sequence in ERP system and area housekeeping.
  • Pulls, monitors, and restocks specified parts utilizing appropriate material handling techniques including pallet jacks and PIT vehicles.
  • Follows all safety guidelines and must not pose a risk to self or others.

Qualifications:

  • Must demonstrate an understanding of basic math to accurately measure/calculate quantities of parts/stock counted.
  • Able to effectively identify part numbers and/or descriptions.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Able to learn the operation of various motorized material handling vehicles using our PIT training certification process where applicable, and have demonstrated ability to use those and other tools and equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the position (counting scales, computer scanners, miscellaneous hand tools, etc.).
  • Able to learn and effectively use and navigate within our ERP system to account for and transfer parts and stock.

Education and Experience:

No previous warehouse experience required.
