Description

Position Summary:

Data Analysis Level III is responsible for analyzing In-Line Inspection (ILI) data and verifying accurate sizing of identified pipeline anomalies. Capable of performing all data analysis activities at an expert level: data setup, Data Quality Assessments (DQA's), data searches, feature identification and classification, automated and manual sizing validation, QAQC checks, process and procedure developmental support, and technology advancement support. Acts a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Data Analysis Department as well as other departments throughout the company. Provides training to data analysis personnel enabling successful progression through training programs, evaluations, and competence levels.  

Responsibilities:

  • Safety shall always be the top priority.
  • Work in a team environment, collaborating and sharing knowledge and experience.
  • Prioritize daily tasks to ensure on-time delivery of assigned reports and tasks.
  • Understands and leads compliance with API 1163, ASNT ILI-PQ, and POF, as needed. 
  • Evaluate and analyze data that has been acquired during an In-Line Inspection.
  • Perform Data Quality Assessments (DQA's) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Create and correlate Wall Thickness verification tables.
  • Feature categorization and evaluation, sizing, application of anomaly interaction rules and standard / non-standard analysis.
  • Correlate analysis results to inspection data from previous inspections.
  • In-field inspection data correlation and verification, as needed.
  • Prepare high quality Prelim, Final and other reports by performing quality checks and remaining acutely focused on meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Aid Sales, Engineering, Project Management and Operations with the risk assessment of future ILI surveys to help ensure Entegra tools will successfully navigate and collect data from a Data Analyst point of view.
  • Assist Operations and Engineering to collect tool data results for RCA documentation
  • Assist in standardizing processes and procedures.
  • Assist in training data analysis personnel.
  • Operational Excellence: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, consistently working towards the achievement of individual and team goals.
  • Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • College/University Degree or diploma preferred; or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in analyzing MFL, Geometry and IDOD pipeline inspection data.
  • Data Analyst Level III certification. 
  • Strong work ethic with a can-do attitude.
  • Advanced proficiency with operating relevant customized and over-the-counter computer software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver timely, accurate, and complete results.
  • Capable of making independent decisions/recommendations which can have immediate or time dependent consequences associated with pipeline integrity. 
  • Requires a strong ability to multi-task while avoiding distractions. 
  • Willingness to handle repetitive tasks
  • Requires pattern recognition and spatial thinking skill. 
  • Must be customer focused, have excellent attention to detail and a strong ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of PHMSA Part 192 and 195 regulations, API, NACE and ASME standards and recommended practices.
