Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
The Clinic Office Assistant shall be responsible for the administrative functions within the medical office. Duties include scheduling patient appointments, following corporate protocol for patient check-in and patient check-out, understanding collection procedures, verifying multiple insurance packages, and completing medical records requests in a timely manner.
POSITION HOURS
Candidates must be open to working days, evenings, and weekends.
Days are rotating based on unit and location need.
No specific workdays or days off can be guaranteed.
Primary Care coverage hours are 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Urgent Care hours are:
Monday - Friday 7:45 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday 7:45 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday 11:45 a.m. - 6 p.m.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Observes professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical or employment status of patients of HRMC/Clinic and their families.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Provides excellent customer service skills when dealing with patients, families and/or significant others, outside vendors, co-workers and physicians
• Prepares for next day appointments and notifies patients of any appointment delays.
• Dresses neatly and appropriately in compliance with dress code.
• Travels to other clinics as requested to prevent staffing shortages
• Assists co-workers during down time.
• Assists in all other duties as assigned.
