Job Summary:


Ideal School of Allied Health Care is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Pharmacy Technician Instructor to train and mentor students in our Pharmacy Technician Program. The instructor will provide classroom instruction, hands-on lab training, and guidance to prepare students for certification and entry-level positions in the pharmacy field.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging course materials following the school's curriculum and industry standards.
  • Teach students fundamental pharmacy skills, including medication preparation, prescription processing, dosage calculations, and pharmacy law.
  • Demonstrate and oversee hands-on lab activities such as compounding and inventory management.
  • Prepare students for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) .
  • Assess student progress through exams, projects, and practical demonstrations.
  • Provide mentorship and career guidance to students, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain student records, attendance, and grades in accordance with school policies.
  • Stay current with industry trends and certification requirements.
  • Collaborate with school administration and faculty to ensure program success.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in a retail, hospital, or compounding pharmacy setting.
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
  • Certifications & Licensure: 
  • Active CPhT certification from PTCB or NHA required.
  • Must meet state licensing requirements for pharmacy technician instructors 
  • BPSS teaching license preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a vocational or technical school setting.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards for pharmacy technician programs.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
