What You'll Do

In this role,you'llbe responsible forsupporting structural design work for industrial, manufacturing, distribution, and commercial facilities.You'llwork closely with licensed structural engineers, architects, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to develop technical solutions that meet client business needs. This position playsan important rolein helping clients deliver safe and effective facility improvements while giving you the opportunity to build technicalexpertisetoward becoming a licensed structural engineer.

  • Work on-site and remotely with architects and civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to develop technical design solutions

  • Work under the direction of lead licensed structural engineers while building experience toward structural engineering licensure

  • Learn to create and assemble complete sets of structural design documents

  • Develop knowledge of seismic force resisting systems in high seismic design categories

  • Support gravity and lateral load path calculations and analysis of structural systems used in industrial and commercial facilities

  • Develop specifications andassistwith field condition assessments

  • Assistin the design of structural systems for new and existing industrial facility applications

  • Use AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software to support design documentation and project delivery

  • Monitor state and national code changes and industry standards to support compliant design work

  • Strengthen client and team relationships through responsive technical support and day-to-day project execution

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification

  • Minimum of 1 year as an Engineer-in-Training in industrial structural design and engineering, or 2 years of relevant structural engineering co-op or internship experience

  • Experience with 3D structural analysis software, including RISA 3D or SAFE, andproficiencyusing AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word

  • Ability to travel for project requirements, including installation and start-up activities, client and company meetings, trainings, seminars, forums, and conventions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science in structural engineering

  • Proficiencyusing Revit

  • Experience in structural design for food and beverage, pharmaceutical, life science, or consumer products manufacturing and distribution facilities

Compensation

The approximate pay range for this position is$75,000 - $90,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as geographic location of the position.
