Entry-level per diem jobs include various positions in health care where you may work as an assistant or fill in for a sudden staffing shortage. Per diem jobs in this field rarely have a fixed schedule and are usually temporary positions that last for the duration of a specific assignment. Some of these positions provide direct care to patients, but other roles—such as many office and administrative jobs—do not require any medical training or experience. Many entry-level per diem workers sign up with several companies, so the ability to adjust your workplace techniques and strategies to fit in with different locations is essential to success in this field. This title refers primarily to positions in health care.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level per diem worker?

To thrive as an Entry Level Per Diem worker, you generally need a high school diploma or equivalent, basic job-specific knowledge, and the ability to quickly learn new tasks. As an Entry Level Per Diem employee, your work schedule is typically highly flexible, allowing you to accept shifts based on your availability and the employer's needs.
