FLSA Status: Exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Education: Master's Degree or Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) Degree in School Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.
2. Experience: None required; open to entry-level candidates and recent graduates holding
or eligible for initial NMPED licensure.
3. Licensure: Must hold or be immediately eligible for a New Mexico Educational Licensure for School Psychologist (PreK-12) issued by the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED), including a passing score on the required licensure examination.
4. Mobility: Valid Driver's License (required for operating district fleet vehicles to travel regularly between district locations).
5. Background: Completed and cleared background check and fingerprinting clearance as required by NM State Law.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) spoken and written.
2. Minimum of 3 years of verified experience designing interventions or administering evaluations for children with high needs, or intensive behavioral challenges within a Special Education setting.
3. Experience with diverse student populations, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), and bilingual psychoeducational evaluations.
