Job description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Entry Level Position
High School Diploma or equivalency, Associates Degree in Education preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid New Mexico Education Assistant and Substitute (PreK-12) Licensures.
Comprehensive basic knowledge of New Mexico PED Academic Standards.
Must have or obtain -
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification for infant/child/adult
  • Navajo Nation Food Handler's permit

Bilingual in Dine & English preferred.
Must be able to meet minimum physical requirements: sitting, standing, lifting, carrying (up to 50 lbs), reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving light furniture may be required.
Must have valid state-issued driver's license.
**MUST be able to pass background checks for New Mexico state, Navajo Nation, and FBI prior to employment.
SASI is a Tribally Controlled school under the Bureau of Indian Education located on the Navajo Nation in Shiprock, NM
