Job description

Amentum is seeking Software Engineering professionals with software development related education and/or experience to support software development, integration, and testing in support of Dahlgren, VA. This position will be on-site at the Dahlgren, VA office as well as occasionally, tasking in Fredericksburg, VA, as tasking requires. The ideal candidate needs to be able to get to either location within 30 minutes, with ability to drive to these required locations. You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence.


Software developer responsibilities include:
Upgrading a USMC weapon system. Periodic testing will take place using actual hardware in the on-site Naval lab.
Solving complex Digital Engineering challenges.
Applying your skills to the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems
Modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success.

Minimum Qualifications and experience:
bachelor's degree in computer science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other technical field or equivalent experience.
2 years of experience or related education/training and experience with C++ and RHEL 6.10 or RHEL 8/9.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain SECRET Clearance.


Compensation Details:

$75K to $105K
