Job description

Are you an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys helping people? Do you have sales experience and are you looking for a great career with an established and respected industry leader? If so, then come join our team as an Outside Sales Representative! As an Outside Sales Representative, your primary responsibilities will be to establish and maintain profitable relationships with customers, actively prospect for new accounts, and maximize sales potential with existing accounts. You will professionally represent the company by conveying expertise in our services and capabilities and establish relationships within the community and with business accounts.

Our ideal candidate is an outgoing, focused, and motivated individual with previous sales experience and strong sales skills. Experience in the printing industry is a plus. We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude, a confident and outgoing personality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong customer service skills. Candidates must be able to travel to client sites and work in an environment that includes exposure to ink and chemical fumes, airborne particles (dust, drying powder, etc.), and loud noise levels. A valid driver's license is required.

COMPENSATION

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Prospects for new customers, develops new business, targets key prospects, and retains business
  • Presents and discusses the products and services of the company in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity, and superior understanding and fulfillment of customer needs
  • Develops annual sales strategy in conjunction with management and identifies joint marketing opportunities where applicable
  • Participates as a key team player by supporting operations as needed
  • Gathers information on decision-makers and adds that information to the database
  • Develops rapport with prospects and builds relationships with customers
  • Conveys the value of our company's capabilities to prospects
  • Develops and executes an ongoing plan to target at least five key accounts per month
  • Attends regional/national training seminars
  • Attends weekly sales meetings to discuss outstanding quotes and review the targeted account plan, new customer work orders, and other outstanding issues
  • Enters relevant data on each prospect/customer contact into the contact management program

QUALIFICATIONS   

  • Previous sales experience
  • Strong sales aptitude
  • Able to identify and meet customers’ needs and requirements
  • Must have initiative and be able to problem solve
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to spend several hours per day operating a motor vehicle
