JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring and management of comprehensive data system. These systems are used to perform analysis and research studies as required by Senior Management. The position must also ensure data quality and integrity in these financial and decision support systems. The financial Analyst is responsible for coordination of systems information to ensure that NCH is able to report on critical information and complete project assignments on a timely and accurate fashion. Additionally, the Financial Analyst is responsible for coordination of systems information to ensure that NCH is able to report on critical information and complete project assignments on a timely and accurate fashion. Additionally, the Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing worksheets and supporting documentation for the preparation of the Medicare Cost Report as well as learning the software necessary to submit the annual Medicare report.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.
โ€ข Budget assistance - provide budget support to directors, managers, teammates and administration for all NPG cost centers.
โ€ข Revenue and RVU reporting - generate revenue and RVU data files from NPG billing and other systems to post journal entries, various accrual entries, and provide revised data files to other end users.
โ€ข Responsible for maintenance of cost report stats and take surveys
โ€ข Responsible for preparation and submission of the Annual Medicare Cost Report
โ€ข Responsible for data updates and monthly downloads of data to HBO.
โ€ข Responsible for various misc. yearly reports (Premier Supply, Census Reports, AHA Survey)
โ€ข Responsible for preparation of monthly statistical report (internal).
โ€ข Responsible for preparation of monthly statistical report (board).
โ€ข Prepare monthly journal entries to update contractual reserves.
โ€ข Review monthly Medicare and Medicaid accounts receivable account balances.
โ€ข Variance analysis - complete monthly variance analysis of revenue and expense accounts, including reconciling balance sheet AR accounts.
โ€ข Customer financial report - prepare monthly staffing models and other design/distribution of financial models as requested from directors and administration.
โ€ข Daily monitor - daily population of daily monitor and management.
โ€ข EPSI support/train - provide financial/technical assistance to directors and administration.
โ€ข Physician RVU reports - generate physician RVU reports and distribute to appropriate physicians.
โ€ข Tax return - preparation of yearly NPG tax return.
โ€ข Provider CME - maintain and track provider CME allowance (processed with Controller signature).
โ€ข Charge Master Maintenance and Revenue Posting for suspended charges.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
โ€ข Minimum of 3 years of related experience required; preferably in hospital/healthcare.
โ€ข Attention to detail needed.
โ€ข Excellent analytical skills needed.
โ€ข Knowledge of accounting system such as EPSI and Monarch Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
