USA Waste-Management Resources, LLC has an opening for a full-time Principal Engineer, Digital QA in Houston, TX. Duties: Conduct highly complex quality assurance tests and analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. Perform technically advanced or in-depth development and execution of test cases. Work closely with Project Management, Quality Assurance, and Development teams on multiple, multi-faceted projects from creation to completion. Solve highly technical and complex problems on multiple projects and provide consultative support to internal staff. Report quality metrics to Senior management. Administer problem management process including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution. Ensure that system tests are successfully completed and documented, and all problems are resolved. Identify, recommend, and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategies. Make recommendations to superiors regarding the acquisition and/or implementation of software to increase information systems efficiency. Provide oversight of functional, business process and technical testing services for designated software and business process development projects, and externally developed projects, from initiation through to implementation. Expert in all aspects of the software development lifecycle in a structured environment and provide supervision in a small - medium size team environment. Write effective test plans and understand test strategy and project risk, particularly from a quality perspective. Resource Mobilization for Projects. Implement and monitor processes for Offshore Testing. Define the scope of testing within the context of each release/delivery. Advocate the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects. Take responsibility for the production and approval of all testing deliverables and achievement of testing milestones during a project. Manage all risks associated with the testing and take preventative action when any risks become unacceptable. Provide authoritative advice and guidance to colleagues on any aspect of testing, including training for testers and other developers where appropriate. Work with Business to create UAT test planning and support them throughout the UAT. Hybrid position. Must report to office at 800 Capitol St., Suite 3000, Houston, TX 77002 4 days a week. Min. Req.: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field plus 10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 3 years of exp. with database structures, SQL queries, TOAD, and ETL testing knowledge. 3 years of exp. with at least 2 of the following ERP/Procurement systems: Oracle HCM Cloud, EBS HRMS, PeopleSoft-Finance, Oracle Finance/HCM, Ariba, Coupa. 3 years of exp. with at least 2 of the following reporting tools: Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, Spotfire. 3 years of exp. with data analytics, modeling, and algorithms using Python. 3 years of exp. with QA testing, QA plans, test case development, QA methodologies, documentation, Quality Center, QTP, Selenium, and project management. 3 years of exp. with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirement analysis, design, integration, testing, and validation. 3 years of exp. with AS400 business applications. 3 years of exp. with national accounts applications and integrations: Acorn, Salesforce (SF), Portals, Contract Management, Mulesoft, MAS, Pricing, ESB, and APIs.
