The press operator - injection sets up and operates injection molding presses to convert uncured strips of rubber into cured parts. This role will be for 2nd shift production.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Follows and signs work orders
  • If required, completes work order changes
  • Follows engineering instructions to complete process studies, pilot productions, and first articles
  • Follows safety rules

The Press Operator may perform any of the following operations
  • Sets up an injection molding press.
  • Molds parts using an injection molding press.
  • Changes molding conditions if required.
  • Returns unused compounded material to mixing department.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but may consider other backgrounds for entry level position.
  • Must have strong work ethic, professional attitude, be detail oriented as well as reliable.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in an area where temperature varies from 60 to 105°F.
  • Must be able to stand on concrete floor up to 10 hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
