Job description

Sphere Operator (Pig Operator)

Schedule: 1st shift M-F 5:00am - 3:30pm

About the Role

Hultec manufactures rubber cylinder and sphere pigs used to clean, batch, and maintain pipelines across the oil, gas, and industrial sectors. We're hiring an entry-level Spheres Operator to join our production team and learn the full process of building these products - from molding and curing through assembly, finishing, and quality inspection. No prior manufacturing experience is required; we'll train you on our equipment and process.

What You'll Do
Mix and pour rubber compound into cylinder and sphere molds, following batch and cure specifications
Load, operate, and monitor molding presses through the compression and curing cycle
Demold finished hemispheres and cylinders, and trim or deflash excess material
Assemble and bond hemispheres into finished spheres; prepare cylinders for final assembly
Inflate and pressure-test finished spheres to confirm they meet diameter and durability specifications
Inspect finished Sphere for size, weight, and surface defects, and record quality results
Keep your workstation, molds, and equipment clean and in good working order
Follow all safety procedures around presses, curing ovens, and rubber compounds, including proper PPE use

What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; will train the right candidate
Manufacturing experience required
Comfortable working with your hands and following step-by-step process instructions
Attention to detail - able to catch sizing, weight, or surface defects
Any automotive car painting or collision experience
Reliable, on time, and able to work as part of a small production team
Strong work ethic and the want to learn and adjust through feedback

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Comfortable working around heat, presses, and rubber compounds with proper safety equipment
Required PPE: chemical-resistant gloves, safety glasses/face shield, respiratory protection where indicated by SDS or air monitoring, and hearing protection near presses

What we offer

  • Great pay and opportunity to advance
  • 3 Medical Plans to choose from and Dental/Vision plans
  • 401k with a 6% Employer Match (free money for retirement)
  • Vacation and Holidays

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.

Employment Type: FULL_TIME
