Job description

We are seeking an analytical and technically skilled Operations Research Analyst to develop optimization models that improve operational efficiency, resource utilization, and business performance. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Analytics, and Business Stakeholders to solve complex planning and optimization challenges using mathematical modeling and data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain optimization models that improve operational efficiency while balancing business objectives and operational constraints.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify opportunities for process improvements and performance gains.
  • Collaborate with business partners to translate operational challenges into mathematical optimization problems.
  • Support internal users by explaining optimization results and providing guidance on model outputs.
  • Validate model performance and recommend continuous improvements based on changing business needs.
  • Assist with implementing optimization solutions into production environments.
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and model logic for internal stakeholders.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of optimization techniques, mathematical programming, and analytical modeling.
  • Experience with commercial or open-source optimization solvers.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and model development.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing optimization models for scheduling, routing, resource allocation, supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics applications.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience working with large datasets using distributed computing technologies.
