Job description

Build Your Career in Structural Engineering

At Clark Pacific, you'll do more than design buildings you'll help bring them to life.

As an Entry-Level Structural Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced Structural Engineers, Project Engineers, and industry experts to design innovative precast concrete building systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, and advanced manufacturing facilities.

From your first day, you'll gain hands-on experience with structural analysis, design, manufacturing, and field operations while contributing to real projects that shape skylines and communities. If you're looking for a place where you can continue learning, earn your PE and SE licenses, and grow into a technical leader, Clark Pacific offers a career path—not just a job.

Location: Decatur, Texas

Competitive Compensation:
$85,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in the structural design of precast concrete building systems.
  • Perform structural calculations and engineering analysis under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Learn the design of beams, columns, walls, floor systems, stairs, and other structural components.
  • Develop engineering details, calculations, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Manufacturing, and Field Operations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in design meetings and solve real-world engineering challenges.
  • Learn industry-leading structural analysis software and engineering tools.
  • Visit manufacturing facilities and project sites to understand how designs are fabricated and installed.
  • Support multiple projects while developing technical and project management skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • EIT certification or the ability to obtain shortly after graduation.
  • 0–3 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Internship or co-op experience is a plus but not required.
  • Passion for structural engineering and a desire to build a long-term career.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework in reinforced concrete, steel design, structural analysis, or seismic design.
  • Experience with ETABS, RAM, RISA, SAP2000, or similar structural analysis software.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM software.
  • Interest in precast concrete design and construction.

Why Clark Pacific?

At Clark Pacific, we invest in engineers early in their careers.

You'll receive mentorship from experienced Structural Engineers while working on some of the most complex projects in the industry. You'll gain exposure to every phase of the project—from engineering and design through manufacturing and field installation—giving you experience that many engineers don't receive until much later in their careers.

Here, you'll have opportunities to:

  • Work on hospitals, data centers, manufacturing facilities, parking structures, and commercial buildings.
  • Learn directly from licensed Professional and Structural Engineers.
  • Gain hands-on experience with design-build delivery.
  • Develop technical expertise in precast concrete structural systems.
  • Grow into Project Engineering, Senior Structural Engineering, or Engineering Leadership roles.
  • Receive support as you pursue your PE and SE licenses.
