Job description

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking applicants for the Entry-Level Construction Materials Testing Technician role in Geismar, TX. Do you have construction experience? Then join us and become a CMT Technician! Training will be provided, and you can get certified!

This role involves performing field and laboratory testing of construction materials—including soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring—to ensure compliance with project specifications. Candidates with ACI, NICET, or TxDOT certifications are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform field and laboratory tests such as:
  • Concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and casting cylinders for compressive strength)
  • Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge
  • Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests (as applicable)
  • Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling
  • Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts
  • Produce timely and detailed reports
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow our corporate safety procedures at all time
  • Follow all company's procedures and protocols
  • Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
  • Build positive relationships with clients
  • Arrive at the job site to which you are dispatched, on time each day
  • Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis
  • Communicate with onsite clients each day and relay any information to management

REQUIREMENTS

  • +1 year of experience in Construction or Construction Materials Testing.
  • Must have dependable transportation, a truck is preferable as there is an incentive program to use it for work
  • Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • TWIC card (preferred)
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment
  • Capable of maintaining an "On Call" type schedule and must be willing to work obscure hours
