Job Description
Job Summary:
The Entry-level Civil Engineer role is a position within Trihydro's Infrastructure and Natural Resources Business Unit. As a team member, you will assist with developing solutions for water agencies, municipalities, and private clients, addressing civil infrastructure and water resource needs and improvements. You will complete tasks to develop or improve infrastructure systems, including water, sanitary sewer, transportation, and stormwater.
This full-time position requires approximately 40-45 hours per week. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, this opportunity is ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing technical research and design calculations
  • Learning design and modeling software, drafting figures, and preparing construction plan sets
  • Performing assigned design tasks, quantity calculations, and construction cost estimates
  • Researching construction materials and contacting/coordinating with construction material suppliers
  • Preparing technical memorandums, design reports, and permitting applications
  • Developing cost estimates
  • Conducting field data collection, performing site inspections and inventories, and performing construction observation, monitoring and reporting

Qualifications:
  • You have 0+ years of engineering design experience and are looking for opportunities to build your technical foundation.
  • You have experience with and/or are interested in civil infrastructure, water and wastewater systems, and water resources.

  • You possess strong technical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness; and a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices.
  • You understand the importance of time management and possess excellent organizational skills.
