Job description

NSC Staffing has immediate openings Welders/Fabricators/Fitters to join our expanding team in Wayland, Michigan.
Shift: 1st shift
Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30am
Friday: 7:00am-3:00pm
Pay: $20-28/hour
Candidates will be building world-class agricultural feed trailers in a clean, beautiful, NEW 36,000 square feet facility!
This position is a good fit for individuals who are well acquainted with MIG welding from entry level to advanced.
This is NOT an assembly line manufacturing facility.
Potential Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read trailer specification sheet to understand customer requirements
  • Measure auger pipes for correct length
  • Use jigs and fixtures to straighten auger assembly after the welding process
  • Prepare the galvanized discharge tubes for assembly, and install the augers in the tubes
  • Cut aluminum extrusions to required length
  • Use jigs and fixtures to assemble aluminum components and tack in place
  • Perform structurally sounds and cosmetically appealing welds in a variety of positions
  • Install steel sub assembly components on aluminum tank structure
  • Use crane system to lift hopper tank and install on bogie running gear
  • Work area to be kept clean and organized
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Additional Requirements and Considerations:
  • Have own tools including welding helmet (Client does offer a tool lease program)
  • Ability to occasionally lift over 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb in. on, or around trailer structures to perform welds in variety of positions
  • Must be able to meet physical demands of job with or without accommodation
  • Ability to stand, bend and twist throughout shift
  • Opportunity for 10 hour shifts as well as overtime
