Job description

Job Title: Entry-Level Security Systems Installer

Position Overview

The Security Systems Installer is responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting integrated security systems at customer locations. This role requires adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC), company standards, and customer guidelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of completing installations independently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install cabling, field equipment, and control equipment enclosures in accordance with NEC, company, and customer standards
  • Install and configure integrated security systems, including:
    • Access control systems
    • CCTV and IP camera systems
    • Digital and network video recorders
    • Intercom systems
  • Perform alarm system installations, including burglar and fire alarm systems
  • Read and interpret:
    • Blueprints and schematics
    • Technical diagrams and specifications
    • System submittals and product manuals
  • Utilize electronic test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve complex installation issues
  • Program and troubleshoot system components and software
  • Ensure all installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and safely
  • Maintain clear communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders
  • Work independently to plan, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks
