We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our team at Utah Scale Center, an Accredited Labs Company.

Location: On-site at various customer sites throughout the Sandy, UT/Salt Lake Valley area and some over nearby states
Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties in accordance with ISO 17025
  • Inspecting, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing mechanical and electronic weighing equipment
  • Complete accurate and timely calibrations on customer sites
  • Working directly with clients throughout the calibration process from the first onsite touch point to completion of the project, including good communication to provide client updates to services needed
  • Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards
  • Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date
  • Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support

Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customers' locations throughout the Salt Lake Valley (Ogden to Provo) including a few overnight projects throughout the year
  • Able to lift 50 lbs routinely
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Able to climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time
  • Able and willing to obtain CDL class B (company-paid)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Enjoy the convenience of taking home a fleet vehicle for work use - This role requires technicians to store a company vehicle at their residence safely
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, and techniques in metrology gained through education, or professional experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment
  • Experience working with Manufacturer's Quality Systems
  • Associate's degree in engineering, Electronics or other Technical Fields
  • Technical Degree or Certificate
  • Military PMEL Training
  • Metrology experience
