Work schedule: M-F 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Interview: Onsite (In-person)

Training: Half of the time once trained. – Group environment.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer I to join our team in Elgin, IL. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in system-level design, requirements management, customer support, and test support for a variety of engineering projects. This role involves making changes to or upgrading existing systems designs, enhancing and improving existing technologies to apply to new solutions, and performing root cause analysis to identify and resolve system design issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in system-level design and requirements gathering.
  • Provide customer support and test support throughout various phases of the project.
  • Make changes to or upgrade existing system designs.
  • Enhance and improve existing technologies for new solutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify system design issues and provide recommendations.
  • Implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Maintain system-level knowledge of video technologies and standards.
  • Utilize networking technologies such as TCP/IP and Ethernet.
  • Apply system engineering and requirements management tools and techniques.
  • Communicate effectively through strong writing, presentation, and other communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of technologies and standards.
  • Proficiency in networking, including TCP/IP and Ethernet.
  • Proficiency with server and virtualization
  • Experience with system engineering and requirements management tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
