Job description

LaSalle Network is partnering with our client to hire a Project Accountant on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a fully remote opportunity based in Chicago, IL, supporting transactional accounting and project billing activities across a fast-moving, project-based environment. The Project Accountant will own key Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, project setup and closeout, and weekly timesheet posting and reconciliation. If you are customer-service minded and thrive in a setting where invoices may need to move quickly to support payment timelines, this Project Accountant role offers immediate impact and meaningful exposure.
Responsibilities
  • Set up new vendors and maintain vendor records
  • Code project and administrative invoices and manage vendor remittances
  • Generate draft and final invoices and support collections tracking
  • Support the monthly close process
  • Prepare financial analyses and reconciliations to investigate variances and understand underlying trends
  • Complete new project setup, project closeout, and project tracking
  • Post and reconcile weekly timesheets and labor

Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of experience
  • Experience in a per-project billing environment (engineering, consulting, or similar, professional services industry)
  • Experience processing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Business Central (plus)
  • Dedicated office space with a reliable, high-speed internet connection
