About You and this Role

 

This is the entry level for Software Engineers where you will be able to learn and contribute to enterprise products. You will work both on maintaining existing components and creating new ones. 

 

Key Objectives

 

  • Work on exciting projects that are positioned to ensure Liferay’s leadership in the digital experience platform

  • Deliver high-quality code following TDD principles that continues to move Liferay forward in the industry

  • Fix bugs

  • Add small features

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience

  • Is fluent in at least one programming language, and willing to learn/improve Java skills

  • Has basic knowledge of relevant tools like Git, IDEs, testing frameworks…

  • Has basic notions of Computer Science and can understand software-related conversations and learn unknown concepts

  • You have strong learning skills; if you don’t know something, you’re willing (and capable) of learning it

  • Fully comfortable working in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Some of your teammates will be in the Americas, Asia or Europe


Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience writing enterprise level Java

  • Experience developing in Javascript (React or similar frameworks)

  • Experience developing features and fix bugs of moderate complexity

  • Experience with DXP platforms
