Team Penske is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanic that supports the assembly, dis-assembly, preparation, maintenance, and inspection of NASCAR Cup Series race cars under the direction of lead mechanics, car chiefs, and engineers. The mechanic may be required to travel while learning the systems and processes required to compete at the highest level of motorsports.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly and preparation of NASCAR Cup Series race cars.
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble race car components.
  • Support suspension, drivetrain, brake, steering, and fuel systems maintenance.
  • Assist with race car setup, measurements, scaling, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and inventory documentation.
  • Verify components meet team specifications and NASCAR regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support at track tests and or race events.
  • Assist with quality control inspections and checklist completion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive Technology degree or technical school certification.

  • Experience in racing, fabrication, or performance automotive environments.
