They provide a starting point for individuals interested in working in film, offering hands-on experience and an opportunity to learn about different aspects of movie production. Entry level jobs are essential for building a network and gaining the skills needed to advance in the industry.

What can I expect from my first few months working in an entry-level position on a movie set?

In your first few months in an entry-level movie set position, you'll likely be assisting various departments, performing a wide range of support tasks such as setting up equipment, running errands, and ensuring the set runs smoothly. It's common to work long hours and adapt to a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment. You'll be expected to be proactive, attentive, and collaborative, as you'll interact with crew members from different departments. This hands-on experience provides a valuable opportunity to learn about the filmmaking process and start building connections that can help you advance in the industry.

To thrive as an Entry Level Movie Production Assistant, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of film production processes, typically with a high school diploma or relevant coursework. Familiarity with production scheduling software, walkie-talkie communication, and office tools like Microsoft Office is helpful. If you have the heart of a caregiver and are looking for an entry-level position that isn’t your typical job, Quality Connections is looking for you. QC caregivers work with individuals and small groups, so they get the support and attention they need to thrive. You will be helping people with the support they need to live their best lives.

The day-to-day work for a Direct Support Staff at QC is as unique as the people we serve, but here’s a list of tasks and activities you might be involved in with the person you are caring for:

●        Supporting them in achieving their goals.
●        Helping them overcome barriers to doing things for themselves (often it’s not a question of whether they “can” do something; it’s just adjusting “how” they do it).
●        Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment.
●        Cooking nutritious meals and snacks with them.
●        Encouraging physical activity and exercising with them.
●        Showing them how to maintain a clean and organized home by completing tasks with them.
●        Helping them follow doctor’s orders, up to and including preparing and administering medications.
●        Assisting them with personal hygiene, bathing, and bathroom needs.
●        Assisting with mobility where needed.
●        Transporting people to things that they must do (such as work, school, medical appointments, errands).
●        Accompanying and transporting them to activities they want to do, like meeting up with friends/family, going out to eat, taking in a movie, walking, shopping, and much more.
●        Completing documentation on their status and the support you provided.
●        Attending meetings and training as required.
●        Assisting other locations as needed

Our Direct Support Staff post is an entry-level position supporting people with disabilities living in QC’s group home settings. Full-time or part-time positions are available, with starting pay from $18.35/hour DOE. We have both internal and external career mobility and advancement opportunities, so this can be a job to help you build your work experience, or the start of an exciting and rewarding career. Either way, we also offer the following benefits:

●        Flexible hours
●        Paid vacation and sick leave
●        Medical, dental, and vision insurance (for full-time positions 30 hours/week or more)
●        Free childcare from 9 am to 5 pm through our Evergreen Academy Preschool
●        401K after one year, and must be 21

Our minimum qualifications are that you have a combination of education, training, or experience that would allow you to perform the general duties of this position (We’ll provide specific training on more specialized tasks). You must be at least 18 years old and have a high school degree or equivalent. You also must be able to pass a State of AZ Department of Public Safety background check. Ideally, you must also be able to obtain an AZ Driver’s license.
