Summary
Howard Community College is building a pool of applicants for part-time adjunct faculty positions in Motorcycle Safety. Teaching rider-training courses part-time can be exciting, expose you to people with similar interests, and keep your motorcycling skills sharp while earning money. The Rider School runs March through October, and it provides classes for all levels of motorcycle riders including basic training, an absolute beginner's course, and an experienced rider class.
Essential Role Responsibilities
Instructors plan and implement curriculum for class(es). Develop or update a course syllabus. Instructors are responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment and complying with HCC employment policies and guidelines.
Minimum Education Required
Experience Required
All instructors must complete the required Maryland Department of Transportation and Motorcycle Safety Foundation Rider Coach Prep (RCP) course. This is followed by a quality assurance observation by a Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration Quality Assurance Inspector. Candidates must be sponsored by a training center and must pay to take the course.
