An established IT Consulting firm with 35 years in the industry is looking for energetic and motivated individuals to join our team. A Tier I Technical Support Specialist at McMillan IT Engineering provides front-line support to our clients for their technical needs; computer, mobile device, applications, email, connectivity, etc., and interact with peers as well as senior staff to address our clients needs in the most efficient fashion.


This is an Entry Level, On-Site Position.

Corporate office - Fresno, California


Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Follow standard help desk procedures and log all support requests using our ticketing system.
  • Establish initial client contact and work to quickly resolve issues.
  • Hardware, application and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Perform user account creation, password management, new computer setup, alert monitoringand response, gather information and troubleshoot client issues.
  • Data restoration.
  • Maintain internal technical documentation.
  • Monitor and document the status of support requests through resolution.


Experience in the following is a plus:

  • Microsoft Windows desktop support, remote desktop support
  • Office 365
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Microsoft Server
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Troubleshooting network connectivity issues
  • Active Directory
  • Backup solutions
  • Apple products - iPhone and MacOS
  • Mobile device support


Requirements:

  • MUST work at Corporate office (not a remote position).
  • Non-restricted California drivers license.
  • Reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Background check required.


Certificates, Licenses, Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Associates degree in either computer science or business is preferred but not required.
  • Related technical certifications are not required but are a plus.
  • Educational certifications are not required but are a plus.


Bilingual is a plus.
