Entry Level Medical Coding involves assigning standardized codes to medical diagnoses and procedures, focusing on accurate documentation. Medical Billing Specialists handle submitting claims, following up on payments, and managing insurance processes. While both roles often work together and share similar environments, their core responsibilities differ: coding centers on documentation, billing on reimbursement.
