An Entry Level Medical Coder with no experience is someone who is new to the field of medical coding and may have recently completed relevant training or certification but has not yet held a professional coding position. These individuals review and assign standardized codes to medical diagnoses and procedures based on patient records, helping ensure accurate billing and insurance claims. Many employers provide on-the-job training for entry-level coders and may require certification such as the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) to get started.
