Internal Job Title: Vehicle Service Contract Claims Adjuster

Start: August 24, 20206

Location: US-SC-Greenville (onsite)

FLSA: Non-exempt

Position Overview:

We are looking for current and former Service Advisors, Technician, or Parts Counter – Specialist professionals with extensive automotive expertise who want to take their careers to another level in a professional office environment. If you have always wanted to put your automotive knowledge to a more formal use, then this is the role for you! This is a key role in our growing organization and can lead to advancement into Senior and Lead level positions.

The VSC Adjuster is responsible for administering vehicle service contract claims (Mechanical Claims) from intake through resolution, ensuring timely, accurate, and customer-focused handling. This role reviews contract coverage, validates supporting documentation, evaluates repair estimates, and determines claim eligibility in accordance with policy guidelines and service standards. The position serves as a primary point of contact for repair facilities, dealership partners, customers, and internal partners, providing clear communication, issue resolution, and guidance throughout the claims process.

Essential Functions:

· Oversee and manage vehicle service contract claims.

· Conduct and coordinate inspections for claims exceeding defined thresholds or when required to validate reported failures.

· Review contract terms and determine coverage eligibility based on policy guidelines.

· Validate supporting documentation and assess repair estimates for accuracy and completeness.

· Communicate with repair facilities, customers, and internal partners to provide updates, guidance, and issue resolution.

· Maintain accurate claim records and documentation throughout the claims lifecycle.

· Meet productivity and quality benchmarks while applying sound judgment to support fair and consistent claim decisions.

· Identify and escalate complex issues or exceptions as needed.

· Active listening with concurrent accurate data entry

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Minimum 2 years of experience within Automotive Service Industry required (Technician/Mechanic, Service Advisors, Parts Advisor, Parts Counter/Specialist)

· Must possess strong Automotive Technical and Mechanical knowledge.

· Previous experience in claims handling, automotive service, warranty administration, or a related field.

· Must be proficient in Windows, MS-Office Products and possess basic computer skills.

· Effective communication, documentation, and customer service skills.

· Ability to evaluate information, apply policy guidelines, and make sound decisions.

· Must be authorized to work in the U.S or Canada

· Must be able to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

· ASE Certifications (Past or Current)

· OEM Certifications (Past or Current)

· Automotive Trade/Technical Degree/Graduate

· Experience in Claims Adjudication

· Bilingual: Spanish or French
