Summary of the Role

Seeking an entry-level Conveyor Belting Technicianwhois mechanically inclined. Performs splices and installation onvarious typesof conveyor belts and components to meet customer and industry requirements. Performs other field service and warehouse tasks, as trained andrequired.Reports to Field Service Supervisor or Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Mustmaintain100% commitment to safety policies and procedures

  • Works closely with Field Service Supervisors and team members inattaininggoals andobjectives

  • Good understanding of overall Quality process anddocumentation;

  • Communicate general and quality-related concerns tomanagement;

  • Provide onsite customer service

  • Perform conveyor belt installation with mechanical or vulcanized splice

  • Understands tools and machinery applicable to the job

  • Travel isrequiredpart ofjob

  • Perform other duties as trained and qualified for.

Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to work overtime hours,eveningand weekends, whenrequired

  • Must be abletravelto out-of-town jobs, as needed

  • Possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner

  • Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years of age

  • Ability to work nights and weekends, asrequired

  • Properly measurewith a tape measure

  • Ability to travel onregularbasis

  • Background checks, drug screening, anda physicalmay berequired(by Company, Customer or DOT requirements in working on-site and operating equipment asrequiredorpermittedby law)

  • Must be able to successfully pass a DOT physical exam, or have a current DOT medical card

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with conveyors and conveyor components

  • Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Knowledge of maintenance and repair of machinery a plus

  • OSHA 10 and MSHA certifications

  • First aid and CPR certifications

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This role may include a mix of customer onsite work and warehouse floor environments. Work is primarily performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, snow, rain, and wind.
