About The Role:

An entry-level Construction Materials Professional, role involves helping ensure the safety, quality, and long-term performance of construction projects by performing field testing, inspections, and evaluations to verify that construction materials meet applicable specifications, standards, and project requirements.

  • Construction Materials Testing & Inspection: Perform field testing and support special inspections for construction materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt, and other related products to verify compliance with project specifications, governing standards, and quality requirements.
  • Construction Document Review: Review project plans, drawings, and specifications before fieldwork to gain an understanding of project requirements and ensure inspections are completed accurately.
  • Field Records & Project Tracking: Document daily field activities, inspection results, and testing data while maintaining accurate records in Metafield® and other project management platforms to support project documentation and communication.
  • Technical Reporting & Proposal Assistance: Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and proposals for routine projects by organizing field data and presenting findings in a clear, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Collaboration & Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to communicate project updates, discuss inspection results, and support the successful execution of ongoing construction projects.

About You:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a similar technical field
  • You have 0-2 years of experience in construction materials testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt
  • You are willing to obtain at least one (1) industry certification within 6 months of employment
  • You have basic math and communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language

You Are Willing and Able to:

Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:

  • Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
  • Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
  • Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
  • Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
