OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level CNC Programmer with a Certificate in Mastercam to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or individual with foundational CNC programming knowledge to launch their career and grow within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop and write CNC programs using Mastercam software for various machining operations (milling, turning, etc.) on multi-axis CNC machines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and 3D models to determine machining requirements and optimal tool paths.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for different materials and geometries.
  • Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect and correct potential errors, collisions, or inefficiencies before actual machining.
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production staff to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and improve part quality and production efficiency.
  • Perform basic machine setup and operation for program testing and validation.
  • Document program changes, setup sheets, and operational procedures.

GENERAL:
  • Required: 2 year of CNC Programming experience or an CNC Programming certificate from an accredited academic institution.
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings featuring GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [e.g., 30-50] pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
