Manufacturing Operator I

MagneticSeal is currently seeking a motivated Entry-Level Manufacturing Operator tojoin our team in Warren, RI. In this hands-on role, you will support the productionof precision components by performing routine setup, operation, and basictroubleshooting of manufacturing equipment (manual and semi-automated),conducting preventative maintenance, following detailed work instructions andquality standards, and contributing to a safe, efficient productionenvironment. EssentialFunctions:
 - Produces product on various CNC or manual machines to meet or exceed production standards
 - Takes direction to learn basic machine operation, setup, and maintenance
 - Runs multiple machines as required by process or as directed
 - Makes machine tool offsets or adjustments as needed to maintain print specifications
 - Load and unload machines as per the cycle time goals
 - Studies part drawings, set up sheets, work order instructions, and other necessary process instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences
 - Performs basic measurement tasks to verify product is within the required specifications
 - Responsible for maintaining visual quality of the product by inspecting for defects such as dents, burrs, scratches, etc.
 - Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of moderately complex, mechanically operated machinery
 - Performs work in a safe manner by following all safety rules
     - Stops work is an unsafe condition is identified
     - Reports safety concerns immediately with management
 - Takes initiative and makes decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision
 - Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
 - Identifies any production problems and notifies cell lead or supervisor.
 - Maintain proper documentation of data and collaborate with management staff and supervisor
 - Maintains cleanliness in designated work area throughout shift
 - Cross-trains in various operations and in various cells as needed
 - Identifies and lead fixture and tooling projects needed for new or existing product
 - Performs other tasks as needed by management.
 - Responsible for storing and handling all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) appropriately to prevent unauthorized access, dissemination, or use of this information or documentation.
 - Support all visitor and security policies to protect ITAR/EAR/CMMC/CUI information, documents, product, etc. from unauthorized access by informing management immediately of any concerns.
 - Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in employee's work area.
 - Performs other duties as assigned.
 - Regular and acceptable attendance and is an essential function of this job.
