Drive continuous improvement projects using appropriate tools and techniques to optimize productivity in collaboration with our global teams.
Safe design including ergonomic attributes of the assembly equipment and cells
Support NPD teams to ensure that all manufacturing requirements are satisfied in an efficient and capable process.
Ensure compliance to regulatory procedures, which includes responsibility for safety and quality within the assembly and wider the WM, America Manufacturing Inc company.
Arrange procurement of jigs and fixtures, and manufacture of assembly aids, as well as checking equipment for assembly, ensuring that it is safe and delivers the required performance and quality.
Oversee the specifying and purchasing of tools and gauges.
Provide front line fault-finding and diagnostics on assembly equipment and processes.
Assist in the reporting and solving of production problems and customer complaints where applicable.
Technical leader within your department.
Specify and propose in collaboration with the sending sites cost justifications on new processes and equipment for improving productivity.
Advise corrective actions to overcome problems, including visiting suppliers as required.
Issue and ensure compliance with the ECO (Design Change) system.
Produce and maintain the standard operating procedures, with the appropriate visual aids.
