Job description

Triple Cities Metal Finishing is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our maintenance team in an entry-level capacity. This dual-purpose role focuses on maintaining the mechanical integrity of our metal finishing equipment while managing the critical water treatment processes necessary for environmental compliance. This position requires a "hands-on" approach, with a significant portion of the workday spent on the production floor.

Since 1945, TCMF has made innovative, as well as necessary changes in the way we conduct everyday business. From advanced surface preparation to highly technical finishing processes, we can handle the smallest pieces to large parts over 30 feet long.

Our three shifts of skilled professionals in our 125,000 square foot facility have made us the vendor of choice for metal finishing for Northeastern United States. Whether it is electroplating, electroless plating, wet paint, or powder coat, we finish it right the first time!

Position Overview

  • Water Treatment Operations
    • System Monitoring: Perform daily inspections of the wastewater treatment system to ensure all pumps, filters, and chemical feeds are functioning correctly.
    • Testing & Analysis: Conduct routine water sampling and testing (pH levels, metal concentrations, and chemical residuals) to maintain compliance with local and federal environmental regulations.
    • Chemical Management: Safely handle, mix, and replenish treatment chemicals. Maintain accurate logs of chemical usage and inventory levels.
    • Sludge Management: Operate filter presses and manage the collection and labeling of hazardous waste containers in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Facility & Equipment Maintenance
    • Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled PM tasks on plating lines, including cleaning tanks, inspecting heaters, and lubricating moving parts.
    • General Repairs: Assist senior maintenance staff with basic plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs of pumps, valves, and ventilation systems.
    • Safety Compliance: Identify and report workplace hazards such as pinch points, chemical leaks, or faulty equipment. Adhere strictly to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
    • ERP Integration: Utilize the company's ERP system to log completed work orders and track parts usage.

Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, bend, kneel, and climb as needed.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of plumbing systems.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.

Shift:

  • Monday – Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Total Compensation Package:

  • Wage
    • $17.50-$18.50/hour
    • Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
