Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Leicester, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role involves preventative maintenance, equipment rebuilds, and supporting production uptime. Candidates should possess strong mechanical aptitude, with training provided for additional skills as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and lubrication
  • Maintain conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors, chains, and drives
  • Replace mechanical components and assist with equipment rebuilds
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and basic piping work as needed
  • Maintain maintenance logs and follow safety procedures

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of mechanical maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work in a manufacturing environment

Schedule:

  • Off-Pack Season (Nov–June): Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4x10 schedule)
  • Pack Season (July–Oct): 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM with one scheduled day off every 21 days

Candidates will be considered for levels ranging from Mechanic B (Entry Level) to Master Mechanic based on experience and skill level.
