Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates CNC machine to manufacture parts per drawings and/or instructions.
  • Inspects and visualizes all parts so that specified dimensions are met using micrometers, calipers or other inspection devices.
  • Works efficiently using correct tooling for the job and meets production quotas.
  • Be able to change inserts and endmills.
  • Maintains clean work area and keeps machines clean.
  • Shows ability and desire to learn.
  • Will need to be able to identify and complete all documentation per part
  • Works as a team.
  • Keeps a good work attitude
  • Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Visualizes and studies blueprints
  • Exercises good judgement

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Entry-level 0-1-year experience in operating CNC machines preferred
  • Previous machine shop experience a plus
  • Basic mathematical skills, additional skills in geometry and trigonometry preferred
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to follow detailed and complex instructions
  • Experience with CNC, lathes, mills, handheld sanders, calipers and other measuring devices preferred
