Job description

This is an experienced extract operator role on the Extraction Team responsible for the execution of daily extract processing, filtration, and associated operational tasks. The Extract Operator ensures consistent and efficient operation of extraction systems, adheres to safety and quality standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of extraction processes, equipment handling, and production workflows to maintain optimal throughput and product integrity.
Job Duties:
  • Proficient in all entry-level extract operations and equipment handling.
  • Responsible for extract production in accordance with SOPs and within defined processing specifications.
  • Actively reports safety hazards, recommends corrective actions, and supports completion of action items.
  • Consistent and compliant use of required PPE.
  • Samples extract batches for quality control and verification purposes.
  • Accurately logs and reports processing data and quality results.
  • Monitors extraction processes and promptly escalates issues to supervisors or managers.
  • Routinely able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Capable of working in both hot and cold environments.
  • Willing and able to operate in loud and wet conditions.
  • Participates in required meetings (Safety Breakouts, Quarterly Meetings, Daily Shift Meetings, etc.).
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Maintains knowledge of all extract products and specifications.
  • Communicates effectively with the extraction team and other departments (QA, Packaging, Warehouse, Maintenance).
  • Upholds high performance standards through safe operations and adherence to quality protocols.
  • And all other task as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a production-related role; (batching, kitchen, or food processing experience preferred).
  • General knowledge of extraction technology and equipment.
  • Familiarity with extract processing techniques and workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency for logging data and operating control systems.
  • Flexibility to work across all required shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Works under general supervision with detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Physically capable of traversing staircases, kneeling, bending, stooping, and climbing ladders or elevated platforms.
  • Strong initiative and ability to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Solid math and analytical skills for accurate measurements and process adjustments.
  • Document does not necessarily include all essential job functions.
