Description

Weimer Bearing & Transmission is seeking an entry level machinist to join our growing Minneapolis team, part of our ISC Division.


We specialize in high-tech mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical motion control products and services, supporting major manufacturing and maintenance companies across a wide range of industries. As one of the largest privately held companies in our industry, with over 40 locations across 12 states, Weimer Bearing & Transmission continues to grow while providing excellent long-term career advancement opportunities.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate saw and make sure all material is cut and prepped for CNC machines
  • Run already setup CNC lathes/mills (with ability to learn more about programming)
  • Run manual mill/lathes
  • Small assembly work as needed
  • Broach keyways and press bearings as needed
  • Use forklift to move material off trucks and move scrap bins.
  • Use Crane to load material onto racks and the Auto saw.


Job Requirements:

  • 40hrs a week minimum
  • Good attendance
  • Machining related schooling is a plus but not required
  • CNC operating on Haas mills/lathes a plus but not required
  • Good work ethic
  • Must know how to read a tape measure and dial caliper (will be tested in interview)
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, twist
  • Manual machining on lathes and mills a plus but not required
