You will be trained in the skills necessary to succeed, provided with the required feedback to grow and compensated for the skills that you develop.
Due to strong growth, we are seeking an additional Laborer at our Salt Lake City, UT facility that has the potential to grow with the company. The Laborer position plays a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for assisting all areas of production, performing nondestructive testing, transporting materials, and other duties as assigned. We need an exceptionally well-organized teammate who can effectively multi-task and prioritize while taking the initiative to support the team effectively.
This entry-level position provides candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to advance to other areas and positions. The regular schedule for this position is M-F 6:00am-2:30pm. Flexibility to work 2nd shift on occasion is a plus!
What you’ll do
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials to and from production operations or storage areas.
  • Use grinders, chipping hammers, wire brushes, etc., to clean welds, remove burrs and flux, etc. Prepare materials for painting.
  • Weigh, identify, and segregate scraps and maintain required records.
  • Use a cutting torch to cut scrap pieces to size, as necessary.
  • Assist in all production operations when requested or assigned.
  • Operate a beveling machine and punch when directed.
  • Wear protective clothing and respirators (Air filters) when necessary and required by Group Leader/Supervisor
  • Must be able to hear safety alarms, climb ladders, wear a respirator, lift to 50lbs, and wear safety boots
