Compensation
  • Competitive starting pay range of 22.73 - 30.68 per hour, paid weekly

  • 2nd Shift: 2PM to 1PM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am
  • Rotation Schedule (rotating days off)

Position Overview
This position is responsible for the repair of all equipment related to plant operations, services, and facilities back to OEM specifications. Incumbent works closely with the Plant Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Engineering Manager, and other maintenance team members to provide preventative maintenance to meet production goals, ensure a safe work environment, and meet customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain all production machines and plant facility's mechanical equipment.
  • Detects and diagnoses mechanical failures, including pneumatic and hydraulic malfunctions of equipment, repairs and replaces as necessary.
  • Utilizes precision measuring tools/devices, hand tools and testing instruments to ensure equipment installation and alignment are within OEM specifications.
  • The ability to read and understand mechanical prints and technical diagrams for the installation and repair of equipment
  • Completes oil and lube cycles on all equipment at the manufacturers recommended intervals.
  • Maintains housekeeping in areas of assigned responsibility to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Performs other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned, including but not limited to equipment tooling, changeovers, and equipment startups.
  • Completes all documentation in Maintenance Connection including WR and PM documents.

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to perform strenuous work
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions from equipment manuals.
  • Ability to perform complicated maintenance repairs individually by contacting SME & without close supervision.
  • Ability to establish an effective working relationship with other employees
  • A strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous electrical experience with troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Knowledge of electrical repairs and duties.
  • Experience in using all common hand and power tools
  • Skills to service and provide general building maintenance
  • Ability to operate forklift

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Frequently required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Use of hands and arms to handle tools, operate machinery, and perform maintenance tasks with precision.
  • Comfortable working in a variety of environmental conditions, including hot, cold, wet, dusty, or noisy areas.
  • Visual acuity to read technical documents, safety warnings, and perform detailed inspections.
  • Ability to respond to auditory signals, alarms, and verbal instructions.

Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the task.
Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or equivalency
  • Must have no more than 4 attendance points
  • Must not have a step 2 disciplinary action within the last year
  • Previous experience with Thermoforming machines preferred
