Description:

The Level I Sewing Technician will be responsible for entry level duties in the sew shop as assigned.


Essential Functions:

  • Wraps and bands completed synthetic and ENR slings.
  • Supports the auto cutter operator in cutting, folding, and marking slings and ENR sleeving material.
  • Provides miscellaneous support for processing slings through the production line.
  • Attaches tags onto synthetic slings.
  • Sews towing products with oversight.
  • Sews 1” and 2”, up to 2 plies, synthetic slings with oversight.
  • Has a basic understanding of machine mechanics.
  • Follows all health/safety rules and best practices.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to operate commercial sewing machines and banders.
  • Strong math, reading and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with smart phones, computers and software including Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months of related warehouse or manufacturing experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting, using tools, and performing repetitive actions.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time and 75 pounds max with assistance.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products/tags/label.
