PacAero’s core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.


The Position:

Working under general supervision, Diode Technician I is responsible for the assembly of Diodes to customer specifications. This role also involves performing measurements and inspections to ensure product quality and adhering to safety and production standards. No previous experience is required as we provide on the job training for this unique career path.


Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with all employees.
  • Willingness to adapt work schedule to company needs.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Following company handbook policy and companies cell phone policy.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor.
  • Must be able to retain information and show continued progression of growth towards Level II.

Diode Technician I Responsibilities

  • The ability to find and interpret Engineering Drawings to correctly determine requirements.
  • Develop strong understanding of the quality requirements of individual components and the finished product.
  • Learn to use the correct tools, techniques, and equipment necessary to process assemblies.
  • In process visual inspections under a microscope to confirm compliance with quality standards.
  • In-process dimensional inspections with drop indicators, calipers, and micrometers as needed.
  • Strict adherence to the Visual Work Instruction (VWI) documents.
  • Perform assembly processes as required, such as Soldering, Potting, visual and dimensional inspections.
  • Acquiring and maintaining J-STD-001 Solder Certification.
  • Able to detect failure of tooling and equipment.
  • The ability to complete tasks in a reasonably timely manner.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements

Work Environment

  • · Safety hazards: Can be exposed to inherent risks from high-temperature soldering irons, extreme low-temperature freezers, and sharp tools. Safety protocols are critical to prevent injuries.
  • · Contaminants: The work involves exposure to airborne particles like solder smoke and chemical fumes, necessitating adequate ventilation and protective measures to minimize health risks when in the Diode room.
  • · Protective gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a requirement for safety. This includes safety glasses and nitrile gloves as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • · Standing/Sitting: Long hours in a chair or on their feet.
  • · Manual dexterity: Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating tools and performing precise measurements.
  • · Repetitive motion: Many tasks, such as soldering, potting, and inspecting parts, are repetitive and can potentially lead to musculoskeletal issues over time.
  • · Precision and vision: Must have excellent close-up vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors to accurately read blueprints, inspect finished products, and use measuring instruments.
  • · Stamina: Physical stamina is required for the duration of a shift to perform all duties of the job.
