Job description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – 

Mimak Care is seeking qualified and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), including long-term care, assisted living, and complex care facilities.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Current, active LPN registration in good standing:
    • Alberta: College of LPNs of Alberta (CLPNA)
  • Valid LPN practice licence with no restrictions preventing the assigned work.
  • Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing program.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification, as required by the facility.
  • Recent Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Sector Check where required.
  • TB screening and immunization records as required by the facility.
  • Strong clinical, medication administration, documentation, and assessment skills.
  • Experience with seniors, dementia, complex care, or long-term care is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems.
  • Ability to work within provincial LPN standards, scope of practice, and facility policies.

Alberta LPNs: Candidates must hold an active practice permit with the Alberta LPN regulatory college and meet all applicable registration and practice requirements.

Mimak Care may require additional documentation, screening, training, or competencies depending on the client facility and assignment.
